WE INCLUDE GRUB PREVENTION IN OUR 6 SPRAY LIQUID PROGRAM AT NO ADDITIONAL COST

If you prepay your lawn sprays for the season we off you a 10% cash discount for the year. Credit card discounts would be 6%.

The sprays will include:

* Fertilizer – Helps green up your lawn
* Nutrients – Helps strengthen the roots * See below
* Pre-emergence – Helps prevent weed seeds from germinating
* Grub Prevention – A systemic formula that goes down to the roots of your grass. When grubs attack your roots they die.
* Weed control – Helps kill broadleaf weeds in your lawn
* Insect control – Kills insects above the ground

This will give your lawn what it needs to strengthen roots, avoid weeds and give you a beautiful green lawn all season.

WE WILL ALSO BE ADDING NUTRIENTS

This will improve soil structure, improve root development, improve plant vigor and appearance and promote decomposition of grass clippings and thatch, turning them into valuable soil nutrients.


A healthy, weed-free lawn begins with Spring regimen.

Early spring is the time to "jump-start" lawns, establishing the root system of the grass so it stands a better chance of fending off weed pressure and withstanding the rigors of summer. The first step, aeration, reduces soil compaction, increases air exchange and allows water to percolate more quickly into the soil to create better root mass. "Increasing root mass at this time of the year greatly improves the chances of cool-season grasses to reduce stress and survive the heat of the summer." The second step, fertilizing. The best time to apply fertilizer is just after aeration to move nutrients immediately into the root-zone of your lawn. "This practice has shown excellent results in the density and color of cool-season grasses in preparation for summer stress." We offer this starting the middle of March. They fly close to the ground. The moths are the adult stage of sod webworms. While the worms themselves can be destructive to your lawn, it’s the adults that are just plain annoying as they stir up and fly close to the ground every time you walk around.

Damage caused by sod webworms may first appear in early spring as small dead patches of grass among healthy turf areas. As summer progresses, webworm infestation may cause general turf thinning or irregular dead patches in late June into early August. Sod webworms prefer sunny areas and the larvae are often found on south facing yards, where it is warm, sunny and dry. Heavily shaded turf is not often attacked by the larvae. Sod webworms feed by clipping leaf blades off close to the soil surface. Heavy feeding will cause irregular brown areas of grass stubble. The sod webworm larva, which is actually a caterpillar, can be difficult to find as it readily hides in thatch and debris. The adult, which does not feed, is a small tannish moth that will only fly a short distance when disturbed. At rest, the moths fold their wings back over their body and appear tubelike. Adult moths lay eggs by dropping them over the lawn. Our lawn sprays include an insect spray that will help prevent sod webworm damage to your lawn.

Pre Emergent - Weed Kill

Tired of pulling weeds out of your planter areas? We provide a Pre Emergent / Weed Kill three times a year. The Pre Emergence helps prevent weed seeds from germinating and the weed kill gets those that may have gotten through. Eventually you will not have weeds where you don't want them. We can do this along with your lawn spray and root feed.

Getting rid of undesirable grasses in your lawn.

Here is a lawn in Kaysville that was filled with undesirable grasses (foxtails). They called us for help to get their lawn looking better.

First Spray to Second Spray comparisons.



A home owner in Willard was ready to tear his yard out when he called us for help. He was sure grubs were attacking his lawn. It turned out to be sod webworms. We applied a lawn spray that would help take care of his problem in April 2011.
